Fishkill Plains has wonderful, caring teachers who look out for each child as individuals, not masses of kids. The school is a quiet community that involves all children in the learning process and there's no way we'd leave until our son moves to th junior high!

Principal gail wehmann and assistant principal jay curtis are incredible at doing their job...They love and care for every single child in the school...They are out there every single morning (even in negative zero degrees temps) protecting our babies and greeting them with a big smile ..Bravo to you both for such outstanding leadership and love:)

My daughter is in the 2nd grade . And so far she has had a wonderful time learning and getting great grades from k-2 and the staff has been very helpful. I have all nice things to say about the staff and the school . thank you and keep up the good work.

I have had 3 children go thru this school. The principal is tough but fair. There is a dress code and lots of rules for the kids to follow which promotes discipline. (Although, sometimes the enforcement of the rules is too black and white with no room in between for the grey areas). Some of the older teachers should retire as they have lost lots of their passion for teaching, but the rest of the 99% are great. They want to help the kids do their best. There are lots of after school clubs and sports programs, and there is always something for your kid to get involved with. All in all a great school.

This is truly a great school. Under the leadership of Mr. V. DiGrandi, my child had an excellent 2 years. He is the type of Principal that the student body feels comfortable talking to, and the staff at WJHS does a good job of encouraging parent partnerships. Excellent staff, excellent extracurricular activies, excellent academic programs.

I remember feeling I was giving my son an easy out. I did everything before putting my son in Orchard View. Including Pulling my hair out! Well, I wish I did it much faster then I did! He went from grade of 20 and 30's to 85 and 90's!!! He is focused and what I thought was the impossible, Orchard View Did. They Gave me my Goal driven Son back! Thank you Orchard View!
