Considering the lack of financial support Wantagh gives its schools, the educators rise above it and are tops. Admin and teachers give their all to our kids. If you want a country club you have to pay for it.

WMS is what the citizens make it. The kids are taught well by caring, superior teachers. If sports is emphasized, it reflects what the parents and board want. If you want a better science program, ask for it and pay for it. As it is, WMS has one of the most superior student support programs, their advisories, on Long Island.

Great kids,great schools....Alot of parental involvement! Proud to be a part of it! BTW Union Free was a term made when the Long Island School Districts were formed...It has nothing to do with the unions...It's a question that I also had before I searched out the reason..All surrounding school districts consider themselves Union Free,and they also have unions..All it was put in place to mean was that the school districts are seperate from each other.... Example...Seaford is a seperate district from Wantagh,Massapequa,Bellmore and so on..I hope this clears things up... I personally can not say enough good things about the leadership of the High School....

Great elementary school, provides a strong fundemental base for the childs further learning. Strong teachers, good administration and strong parent involvement through the PTA. The school is quite large for an elementary school.

Awesome staff and great atmosphere for preschoolers! The only downside was that I wish my kids could attend before age 3!
