I thnak God that my daugther chose to go to this school. I honestly feel that if she would have went to another school she would have probably been lost in the sytem. The classes are very intimate, the teachers are very professional (Stacy Lynn McCoy) when my daugther started in the 9th grade she called and came over to my house the 1st month that my daugther attended, gave me her cell #, and e-mail address. My daugther is in the 11th grade now and she is still with the same crew leader and the communication between her and I concerning my childs education is excellent!!!!

Talk about a school that works hard to support its students to achieve - this is what SCRL does every day of the week. There are AP classes, 7 sports teams, lots of wireless, collaborations with Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services, Lehman College of CUNY, BronxNet, Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, Bronx Community Health Network and more. The teachers, school counselors, administrators and staff are committed and work as teams to support and monitor student achievement. SCRL is proud of its 7 years and looks forward to many more. A proud parent

This is a great school, I was a former sudent there before moving to Florida. The teaches and staff there are excellent and it was much more advanced than any other school I had ever gone to, including my charter school. Your child would do fine in this school and there are very few conflicts compard to other New York schools. I also want to give credit to one of my former teaches, Ms.Blanchette, she was funny but also very strict about or work and getting everything done and turned in.

You can tell a lot about a school by it's principal. Mr. Ivan Cohen, new principal of PNA, takes the reigns from former principal Dina Heisler, who while well intended, had such little control over the growth of the school that resulted in the school receiving a D on it's report card this year. Mr. Cohen, who has inherited that D, has already begun effecting positive changes in the tone of the school. Like Ms. Heisler, Mr. Cohen is a visionary, however, Mr. Cohen's approach is more grounded, prqactical, and actionable. It's great to expect that all children will develop a love of learning. But this does not happen by hoping. Changing dispositions takes hard and organized work. These seem to be his areas of strength. He's organized, has a clear vision and produces thoughtful benchmarks toward goals. His challenge will be to undo Ms. Heisler's lassez faire culture.

My son graduated from Holy Cross School 4 years ago. I have to give thanks and praise to Holy Cross School for their strong educational foundation. My son has held First and Second Honors all through high school and now has been accepted to the University of Hartford, in Connecticut. Thank you to the staff and to Principal Zalamea for recognizing him and recommending him for the summer programs at Fordham University two years in a row. Thank you!

I have two children in this school... it is a wonderful school. Had we not been blessed with PS69 my children would probably be in private school. The teachers are great and the overall energy from administration to the classroom is positive and encouraging. Parents are involved in a variety of capacities. My only wish is that it were up to 8th grade! Who knows??

The school has a great principal who gives 200% for the whole school community. His tireless efforts in providing for the well being of the whole school community is evident from each pre-k student to the individual staff members who remain loyal to the school. He has provided not only academic success but a sense of family and a return of school spirit.

I remember when I began going to this school seven or so years ago...I remember all the good times with the faculty. The teachers are so cool, they are always fun to be around with. Most importantly I loved being at the school. Maybe people made fun of me, but the school it self... being there made me happy. I was content with the that. If you are some parent thinking of placing your son/daughter in this wonderful school, I suggest you do so. Thanks to this school I am enrolled to George Jackson Academy ( also another great school to look into)

My daughter had attended private school for 2yrs, before attending P.S. 100. While in private school she was lacking in her studies and was very unhappy because her teacher would single her out of activities due to her 'learning abilities' That's how they would label her when ever she did not get excel in a subject area which I think is unfair. However since her transfer to P.S. 100 I've witness a major turnaround. She enjoys reading, doing her homework, she shows a great deal of interest when it comes to school and she constantly brags about her classmates and more importantly her teacher Mrs. Feliciano. My daughter's teacher classroom is a place where children want to be and learn. In addition, Mrs. Feliciano treats her student fairly and with respect. I wish their were more teachers like her . I am proud of my daughter's achievements. Yeah Mrs. Feliciano

My son has been a student in APPA for the past three years. I have found that the school offers him a lot of resources that keep his interest in his education and looking forward to a great future in college. I am constantly notified of any changes in his daily classes and am informed of any concerns from either his teachers or principal.

This is a small new school, with the same old mentality. Talk is noise, without action. I am nervous for my child, who was promoted. Did the curriculum prepare students for the 7th grade? We will see. 5 Teacher left during the school year. The school only has 5 teachers in total. Granted instability for the 125 students. Fall 08 7th grade will be added.
